With the origin traced as Southern Asia, ginger has been used as a spice and for its medicinal values for thousands of years ago. Ginger essential oil is therefore perhaps the oldest of all the essential oils we can discuss to ever been known to man. But things have not been static and for that, it’s not a secret that Ginger is now found in almost all corners of the world. It seems like there are parts of the world that now grows and consume Ginger than even Southern Asia from where it originated.

At the professional levelsginger was originally used by both common man and traditional medics to treat stomach upset and support digestion. It might have been adopted in modern hospitals for the same reason, but Ginger in all sense seems more traditional than modern so does the ginger essential oil.
